"Series 5 is based on Mick Herron’s book ‘London Rules’ and the return of director Saul Metzstein, DOP Danny Cohen BSC and many crew members from all departments who have
been onboard from Series 1.

So the challenge was to find something fresh in the show while keeping the same attitude of the show. Once again the tone that was set by writer/showrunner Will Smith & director Saul simply went back to the dark comedy and serious spycraft of the books, this time involving amongst other things lovable(?!) uber IT nerd Roddy Ho.

Allowing the visuals to follow the story and themes of the scripts and let the, by now, well-established characters explore their environments helped to build the atmosphere of the overall show cementing the familiar and the new."
