The workshop will be based on a series of talks and practical exercises set by experienced Camera Operators. They will discuss and demonstrate the mechanics of the Remote Head and Telescopic Crane and their most appropriate uses in creative film making.
The exercises will reflect common issues faced by Camera Operators on-set and will give due consideration to the craft of blocking action, framing, and timing of movements. Communication with grips and AC’s will also be an element of the workshop.

Applicants are requested to summit their CV’s to the Training Committee for selection ([email protected]) along with a brief explanation of their interest in attending the workshop.

Regretably, due to expected high demand, we anticipate the workshop to be oversubscribed. For unsuccessful applicants, a reserve list will be maintained, and their names will automatically be placed for cancellations or future workshops.

Applicants who are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances are kindly requested to inform Sham Whittaker at the ACO ([email protected]) as soon as possible.
