Hello ACO, Full Members!
I am writing to you on behalf of the Training Committee to provide an update on our ongoing work and to request your increased involvement.

It is imperative that we acknowledge the significance of everyone within our organisation. Given the constant evolution of technology and working practices, it is crucial to consider the development of all upcoming camera operators, regardless of age or gender.

This year, we have successfully conducted two workshops per month, covering a diverse range of technical subjects, including Steadicam, Geared Head, Telescopic Cranes/Stabilised Heads, Handheld, Ronin 2, and several ‘Soft Skills’ workshops such as Health and Safety, First Aid, Operating Essentials, and we are currently developing one on Film Grammar.

Our success has been achieved with the invaluable support of a small team of highly committed members. However, as we expand our reach, we urge our Full members to come forward and demonstrate greater proactive involvement. We encourage you to share your knowledge, experience, and passion.

Over the next few months, we will be expanding our initiatives to encompass the entire United Kingdom. We would be delighted if you could participate in this initiative by providing your valuable opinions or actively contributing to the running or assisting in the running of our workshops.
